Facebook Comments
My local daily newspaper just converted to Facebook only comments. It’s about time, too. Here at cdmCyclist I’ve experimented with using both traditional and FB comments. What I found, and what others are finding, too, is that discourse is more polite when you must identify yourself.
Too many issues today seem to be black and white. Motorists resent cyclists, cyclists often feel the same, and let’s not bring up national politics where even the best of friends will argue.
Of course I wish I had more comments here on the site, so I’ve made it a bit easier, one less click, for you to leave your 2 cents worth. Please add your voice to this dialog; it’s gonna take a lot of people sharing their concerns if we hope to realize this new vision of urban life where people matter more than motor vehicles.
